The amendment rezones the land from Priority Development Zone Schedule 1 to Activity Centre Zone Schedule 1, applies various overlays to the land including the Heritage Overlay and the Development Plan Overlay to facilitate development of the precinct in accordance with findings from the Preston Market Precinct Structure Plan Standing Advisory Committee, subject to changes, and makes the Minister for Planning the responsible authority for the precinct.
